ICE kidnapped  Fabian Camilo Medina Rodriguez, a 27 year-old loving fiance and father of two babies Friday, July 31, 2026 during a routine immigration appointment at 126 North Point in Conroe. Fabian is the second Beaumont citizen kidnapped by ICE from the same location during a routine appointment, sent to Montgomery Processing Center without due process. Fabian has lived in Texas for nearly 5 years and has an active asylum appeal and work permit.  He went to every immigration appointment and always checked in. Fabian has no criminal history. He pays taxes, he is registered, and provided all records proving he has a family to support, including a special needs toddler and a disabled fiancee.  His detainment creates an extreme hardship on his family medically and financially. ICE did not care. They kidnapped him anyway. He deserves to come home and be with his family.  

Fabian's pride and joy is his family. Now he is forcefully separated at the Joe Corley Detention Center from his American family, hours away. Originally from Colombia, Fabian is a reliable and hardworking family man. True to the American spirit, Fabian founded his own business, Amazing Work Construction. In a matter of months, he became proficient in English, obtained his professional license, and earned promotions. It's not uncommon for Fabian to feed a homeless man and spend his time outside of work as a doting father.  Now his fiancee is raising their two children alone and the US government is sentencing his family to a lifetime of poverty and destitution.  If wrongfully deported, Fabian could be barred from reentry to the US for 10 years, effectively destroying a young family. Fabian will miss precious moments including his 1 year-old's first steps and 3 year-old's first day of school. He is being threatened with deportation in as little as 1-2 weeks. Desperate, his family has contacted judges, Congressman Steve Webber, the Department of State, local news stations, and numerous organizations in an attempt to release him. According to his fiancee, one of the most difficult concepts of ICE kidnapping Fabian is "looking our children in the eyes and trying to explain why Daddy isn’t home yet and not being able to tell them when or if he will. " A father shouldn't be ripped away from his children because of racism and hatred. 

His family is invoking provision INA 240A (b) (1) (D) [8 U.S.C. 1229b (b) (1) (D)] Immigration and Nationality Act) and precedent Recinas Case, 23 I&N Dec. 467 (BIA 2002), INA 236 (a) [8 U.S.C. 1226 (a)] and regulation 8 C.F. R. 1003.19, supported by the case Matter of Patel, 15 I&N Dec. 666 (BIA 1976), the Fifth Amendment Due Process Clause of the U.S. Constitution and regulation 8 C.F.R. 287.3 (c) supported by Zadvydas v. Davis, 8 C.F.R. 1292.4 and 8 C.F.R. 1003.17 under 8 C.F.R. 1240.8; applying the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Articles 9 and 10 and  the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights Articles 9 and 14.  The law of Habeas Corpus preventing arbitrary arrest and due process was neglected.  They implore ICE to correct this gros injustice and return Fabian to his family immediately. "He did everything he was supposed to do. We just want him home."
