Ive been a bit busy over the last few days so I apologise that I’ve been a bit tardy in my updates.

The really good news is that the tally is over 5500 signatures and we’re definitely gaining some momentum in giving ADF veterans a voice in Cabinet. I’ll be honest, I was a bit concerned about progress - and then from last Sunday onwards I started to see a huge increase in the number of supporters.

I know that this upswing is due to your passion and diligence in getting the word out for this issue (and posting, sharing, retweeting or simply starting concversations). I’m so very grateful and would ask that you keep up this great work!

I’m sure though that there’s many among us who (like myself included) don’t have wide engagement with social media. Early on in this campaign I felt this way and then discovered that there’s a “chip in” option on the petition page that allows us to make a small contribution to promoting this petition. I chipped in $40 and the change.org people reported that this resulted in about 600 signatures! If you’re in a position to help out this way, I’d be very thankful too.
