CarPlay is a safer way of using your iPhone while driving. It takes the tasks of listening to music, getting directions, sending and receiving text messages, and making calls easier and safer by letting you focus on the road. Hyundai USA had originally promised to release Apple CarPlay by the end of 2014. Then that date was pushed back to the end of Q1 2015. There are still no specific release dates and this is leading to deceptive marketing, poor customer service, and most importantly, lower driver safety. I specifically purchased a 2015 Hyundai Sonata so I would not have to handle my phone AT ALL while driving, and I know I am not the only one.
