The Hamilton Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) has decided to eliminate an Alternative Education Program that supported 10 students within the area. These students were identified from their home school, these students needed to complete an application with the support of their home school. These students struggle to be in the main stream system. These students come with complex needs. These students struggle to find any kind of success. These students do not experience success at a mainstream school. These students depend on the AMAZING caring and dedicated staff that were involved with this program. These students finally felt they had people that cared about them. These students relied on this program to give them hope of one day achieving a high school diploma or certificate.   These students will now be lost. These students MATTER TOO. Please sign this petition to have the HWDSB keep this program open in order to continue to support THESE STUDENTS.
