I have received 158 supporting signatures and comments as of today from homeowners and their families. As a Home and Business owner here, I am very concerned with the decrease in home, property values and the economic impact that these restrictions may cause. Fundamental property rights state that you should be able to buy, rent or sell a property. Limiting renting is taking away one of those rights. Colorado mountain towns and home to popular ski resorts have become a microcosm of the issue. In competition with each other, each is looking over their shoulder at how they’re handling short term rentals, wary of making the wrong move. Favoring to pause and find other solutions. In November, The Town of Windham NY also withdrew and stated that short term rentals are an important part of the Towns economy.
