The Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China began on June 21, 2019.  This festival showcases thousands of dogs held in constricting cages against their will.  Dogs ranging from pure breeds to mutts, old dogs to puppies are sold here.  The process which the dogs suffer is atrocious.  Customers choose a dog then the supplier kills the dog by boiling it alive, cutting off its limbs or stabbing it.  Then the customer eats the dog.  Nothing about this process is humane or ethical.  Imagine the pain and fear these dogs are suffering.  

Stopping this festival is very important to me and my family.  As dogs lovers we have had 3 loving and amazing dogs.  It kills my inside to know that people who torture dogs exist.  Imagine your dog being taken from you just to see them be boiled alive!  It is horrifying.  China stated that they would ban the consumption of dog meat yet the festival was held just 3 days ago.  I know that my petition will not immediately stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, but I have to start somewhere.
