Urgent Appeal for Immediate International Action to Protect the Lives of the People of Iran, Especially Youth and Teenagers

Addressed to:

• The Secretary-General of the United Nations
• The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights
• The UN Human Rights Council
• The UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Iran
• International human rights bodies and humanitarian organizations

We, the undersigned, issue this urgent and grave appeal in response to the violent and organized crackdown on recent protests in Iran. We call on the international community to take immediate action to protect the lives of the people of Iran, particularly young people and teenagers, who are facing extreme and escalating danger.

According to numerous reports, protests that emerged in response to severe economic, social, and political crises have been met with brutal force by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Security forces have used live ammunition, mass arrests, and street-level violence against unarmed civilians.

Immediate Danger to Detainees

We express our deepest concern regarding the individuals detained during the recent protests.

Based on the well-documented past record of the Iranian authorities, detainees face a serious and immediate risk of:

• Torture and ill-treatment
• Forced confessions
• Enforced disappearances
• Extrajudicial killings while in custody

Previous incidents demonstrate that the authorities do not hesitate to commit crimes against political opponents and protesters, especially during periods of unrest.

Use of Unaccountable Armed Forces

Credible reports indicate that the Iranian government is using armed and trained non-Iranian forces, as well as security units that:

• Operate without accountability to any independent judicial or oversight body
• Face no effective limitations in their use of force against civilians
• Act with complete impunity when attacking peaceful protesters

The deployment of such forces significantly increases the risk of mass casualties, particularly among young people and teenagers.

Our Urgent Requests

We call on the international community to:

1. Take immediate and public action to protect protesters and detainees in Iran
2. Use all available diplomatic and human rights mechanisms to prevent killings, torture, and enforced disappearances
3. Demand urgent international monitoring of detention centers and prisons
4. Call for the immediate and unconditional release of all individuals detained during the recent protests
5. Refuse to remain silent while grave human rights violations are committed against the people of Iran

This appeal is peaceful, humanitarian, and grounded in universal human rights principles. Its sole purpose is to save lives and prevent further irreversible harm to the people of Iran.

We urge human rights organizations, governments, and all people of conscience worldwide to stand with the people of Iran and act now, before it is too late.

درخواست اقدام فوری جامعه جهانی برای نجات جان مردم، جوانان و نوجوانان ایران

خطاب به:

• دبیرکل سازمان ملل متحد
• کمیسر عالی حقوق بشر سازمان ملل

• گزارشگر ویژه وضعیت حقوق بشر در ایران
• تمامی نهادهای بین‌المللی مدافع حقوق بشر

ما، امضاکنندگان این دادخواست، با نگرانی عمیق و فوری، نسبت به سرکوب خشن و سازمان‌یافته اعتراضات اخیر در ایران هشدار می‌دهیم و از جامعه جهانی می‌خواهیم برای نجات جان مردم ایران، به‌ویژه جوانان و نوجوانان، فوراً اقدام کند.

بر اساس گزارش‌های متعدد، اعتراضات اخیر که در واکنش به شرایط بحرانی اقتصادی، اجتماعی و سیاسی شکل گرفته‌اند، با خشونتی بی‌سابقه از سوی حاکمیت جمهوری اسلامی مواجه شده‌اند. نیروهای امنیتی با استفاده از سلاح گرم، بازداشت‌های گسترده و سرکوب خیابانی، مستقیماً جان شهروندان را هدف قرار داده‌اند.

خطر فوری برای بازداشت‌شدگان

ما به‌طور خاص نسبت به وضعیت افراد بازداشت‌شده در جریان اعتراضات اخیر ابراز نگرانی شدید می‌کنیم.
با توجه به سابقه مستند جمهوری اسلامی در شکنجه، ناپدیدسازی قهری، اعترافات اجباری و کشتار مخالفان در بازداشت، جان این افراد در خطر جدی و فوری قرار دارد.
تجربه‌های پیشین نشان داده است که حاکمیت ایران هیچ هراسی از ارتکاب جنایت علیه معترضان و مخالفان خود ندارد و در شرایط بحرانی، از هر سطحی از خشونت استفاده می‌کند.

استفاده از نیروهای مسلح غیرپاسخگو

گزارش‌های نگران‌کننده حاکی از آن است که حکومت جمهوری اسلامی برای سرکوب اعتراضات، از افراد مسلح و آموزش‌دیده غیرایرانی و نیروهایی استفاده می‌کند که:

• به هیچ نهاد مستقل یا قضایی پاسخگو نیستند
• در قبال جان شهروندان هیچ محدودیتی ندارند
• و بدون مسئولیت‌پذیری، علیه مردم غیرمسلح به‌کار گرفته می‌شوند

این وضعیت، خطر کشتار گسترده و غیرقابل‌کنترل شهروندان، به‌ویژه جوانان و نوجوانان را به‌شدت افزایش داده است.

درخواست‌های فوری ما

ما از جامعه جهانی و نهادهای مسئول می‌خواهیم:

1. اقدام فوری و علنی برای حفاظت از جان معترضان و بازداشت‌شدگان در ایران انجام دهند
2. از تمام ظرفیت‌های دیپلماتیک و حقوق بشری برای جلوگیری از کشتار، شکنجه و ناپدیدسازی بازداشت‌شدگان استفاده کنند
3. نظارت بین‌المللی فوری بر وضعیت بازداشت‌شدگان و زندان‌ها را مطالبه کنند
4. خواستار آزادی فوری تمامی بازداشت‌شدگان اعتراضات اخیر شوند
5. اجازه ندهند جمهوری اسلامی در سکوت و بی‌پاسخگویی، به سرکوب و جنایت علیه مردم خود ادامه دهد

ما تأکید می‌کنیم که این دادخواست کاملاً مسالمت‌آمیز، انسانی و مبتنی بر اصول جهانی حقوق بشر است و هدف آن تنها نجات جان انسان‌ها و جلوگیری از تکرار فجایع انسانی در ایران می‌باشد.

از همه انسان‌های آزاده، نهادهای مدنی و وجدان‌های بیدار در سراسر جهان می‌خواهیم در کنار مردم ایران بایستند و پیش از آن‌که دیر شود، اقدام کنند.
