How much are teacher/educator "Worth"?
The Issue
This petition is for a school project advocating for an important issue in the early childhood/ teacher profession.
feel free to sign the petition and show that you care and consider us as professionals as we do care for the most important little human to a partent.
Not Enough Funding- Teachers/ Educators do not get paid enough, I have heard other educators complain about not being paid enough for the job they do, we should be considered important defiantly during this time.
Material funding- Teachers/ Educators seem to be getting materials out of their own pocket due to not having enough funding causing their pay to be for them and materials. There should be more funding for educators to be able to get materials, if not a pay raise to include what they spend on materials.
Educator shortage- Teachers/ Educators are quitting causing a shortage of Educators for many reasons the main reason being their salary is not enough. Another reason is having to use our own money to pay for materials in order to teach. And the last reason is due to the pandemic there has been an increase in the shortage of teachers/educators. (Monusova, G. 2009)
This impacts children, family society, and the profession of Eary Childhood Educators because children need teachers in order to learn the shortage is affecting teachers to stay and do their profession, again it also affects parents as they do not get the right resource, they need for their Child's future. Teachers not being paid enough affects society having many protests, and Material funding affects all again because without funding no material is bought for the class for example technology is being used so much with families, children know how to use it and then when at school it is not allowed or there is not enough technology for all the student due to funding. (Brock, D. H. 2009) again salary is impacting the profession of ECE as it is causing a shortage of educators. (Monusova, G. 2009)
