What I don't understand is why some people would sign a petition and be all supportive of it only to then decide it isn't good enough simply because I align myself with a political party. This petition has NOTHING to do with a political party. It is about stopping ALL politicians lining their own pockets even after they have lost their representative status. I thought the best way to support this petition was to actually put my money where my mouth is and put my hand up to take this further and to have a chance of making this happen. I had no time to organise to run as an Independent and so when I heard One Nation were looking for a candidate for my area, I didn't hesitate to throw my hat into the ring. With a party behind you with other great candidates, I have a better chance of making this petition a reality. I am sorry that some of you now wish to remove your support because of a political alliance when the issue is really apolitical. Thank you to you all. Michelle Pedesen
