Over a seven year span Ian Wright scored 185 goals from 288 appearances for The Arsenal and currently ranks second in goal scoring in the history of the club. 

He has been active in the media as a pundit and analyst since retiring. He is a prominent champion for Arsenal FC and is a strong advocate for women’s football and in particular the Arsenal Women’s Team.

In a survey of the Greatest Arsenal players in history carried out on Arsenal.com he ranked  4th, behind: 1. Thierry Henry, 2. Dennis Bergkamp & 3. Tony Adams.

These three legendary Arsenal players are all honoured with statues at Emirates Stadium, in addition to Herbert Chapman, Ken Friar and Arsene Wenger who had profound impacts on the club. 

It is now time for Ian Wright to be honoured with a statue at Emirates Stadium… and maybe David “Rocky” Rocastle could be stood beside him!
