Currently, Lake of the Woods resort, while on National Forest land, does NOT entirely recognize "America the Beautiful" interagency access passes for Veterans, Active Duty Military, and Gold Star Families.

While that pass is valid for standard day use amenities at any Federal Recreation Site (source), Lake of the Woods still charges a day use and/or parking fee for those pass holders. Lake of the Woods Resort is a private, for-profit concessionaire occupying public, Federal land and has imposed it's own policies and fees above and beyond NFS and Department of Interior policy.

STOP private, for-profit interests from denying our Veterans, Active Duty Military, and Gold Star Families the free use of our public lands that they are entitled to! Access to our lands is being eroded by these private interests.

TELL LAKE OF THE WOODS TO HONOR OUR NATION S HEROES! REPEAL DAY USE AND PARKING FEES FOR "AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL" PASS HOLDERS!
