Current Status:
I have repeatedly tried contacting the DNR’s Public Information Officer, Ed Golder, to request a simple confirmation that the proposal is being considered. His voicemail greeting states that communication by email is preferable — but appears dismissive toward that as well.

Next Steps:
Since the Public Information Officer appears unresponsive, I will now focus on trying to reach Scott Bowen, Director of the Michigan DNR, directly. At this point, the least they can do is formally recognize that this proposal is being considered.
