I have grown up being inspired by freedom fighter Savitribai Phule and the revolution that she has been able to bring. I believe that it is high time to recognize and honor the incredible contributions of Savitribai Phule to the fields of education and women's rights in India. Savitribai Phule was a pioneering social reformer and an advocate for the marginalized communities, especially women, during the 19th century.

Savitribai Phule, often referred to as the "Mother of Indian Feminism", played a pivotal role in the advancement of women's education in India. She established the first-ever school for girls in Pune, breaking societal norms and paving the way for women's empowerment through education. Her unwavering commitment to social justice and her relentless fight against caste and gender discrimination made her a true trailblazer.

Despite her remarkable contributions to Indian society, Savitribai Phule's legacy remains underrepresented and underappreciated in contemporary discussions. I believe that the best way to rectify this oversight is by nominating her for a prestigious national award. By nominating Savitribai Phule for the ‘Bharat Ratna’, we can ensure that her legacy and her tireless efforts in the fields of education, gender equality, and social reform are celebrated and remembered for generations to come. Her story can inspire countless individuals to continue the fight for a more just and equitable society.

I sincerely request our Hon’ble Prime Minister to recognize Savitribai Phule's exceptional contributions to our nation's history and to honor her posthumously with a national award. Let us come together to pay tribute to this extraordinary woman who dedicated her life to the betterment of society.
