Tougher laws for cruelty against animals in India

Tougher laws for cruelty against animals in India
The Issue
People have and always will be cruel to animals due to the lack of any strict law that can protect them. People usually take out their frustrations on animals and think they can get away with hurting them or torturing them because there is no law protecting these animals from any sort of humanised abuse.
Bringing in systematic and more stringent laws will help us in our fight against people who are not just cruel to animals but also cruel to people who try to protect these animals from them.
With more effective laws we can enforce and grow better as a humane society and a nation of tolerance not only towards fellow humans but other living creatures as well.
Which is why I ask everyone to support and sign this petition in order to urge the Government of India (being in its majority) to bring in a change in the constitution and amend/introduce tougher laws to prevent cruelty to animals.
