FEDERATION OF SBI PENSIONERS ASSN MEET  COMMITTEE CONSTITUTED BY GOI/DFS/MOF

                     _______

We have pleasure to inform that the meeting with the empowered committee held today in Delhi in a very cordial atmosphere. The 3 men Fed. team was headed by our President, while Bank's team was headed by the DMD(HR) CDO.

Representative from IBA was also present. The Chairman of the Committee constituted as per Court order presided over the meeting. We thanked the Committee and IBA for clearing the D.A issue, which will benefit the pre 01.11.2002 retirees.

Then taking up our issue of 40:50 imbalance we requested the Committee to do away with this anomaly prevailing only in State Bank of India, although SBI management in number of occasions requested the Government for its redressal. could also successfully highlight the myth about three retrial benefits in State Bank of India.

Then we took up the issue of Updation of pension and drew their attention to the fact that unlike Govt. Pensioners, Pensioners in banking sector are deprived of benefits of pension revision along with Pay revisions. They are deprived of living a dignified life as former seniors are getting lesser amount as pension than their juniors retired on a later date.

The Chairman showed very keenness and allowed Federation General Secretary also to supplement the President although the Court order said one should speak among the three representatives of the Federation.

The meeting ended with a positive note and let us hope for the best. We are confident that we could utilise the opportunity offered to us by the Court, where representative of a Pensioners' organisation was allowed to take up their case by themselves.

We have to keep our fingers crossed till the report of the Committee is placed before the Bench.

Before we conclude we acknowledge the support extended to us by the Affiliates through their valuable inputs.

General Secretary

Federation of SBIPA

In a last-minute move just a day before the previous adjournmet date -ie. 08 082023, the case has been posted to 05.09.2023.

This is at the requests made by both the lawyers in the wake of the respondents (PNB /GOI) having volunteered for the services of the SOLICITOR GENERAL.

THI IS THE VERY SAME SOLICTOR GENERAL WHO GAVE AN ASSURSNCE BEFORE THE BENCH HEARING SBI RETIREES' CASE IN DELHI HIGH COURT WHICH MADE THE GOVERNMENT COMMITTING THEMSELVES IN CLEAR TERMS FOR THE RESOLUTION OF THE ISSUES INVOLVED AS PER THE TERMS & REFERENCES MADE IN THE GOVERNMENT'S NOTIFICATION DATED 14th.JUNE 2033 (Click the following link for the details)

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qJlMjslr8ePjTJ_H9VddWMjImVVLuFhM/view?usp=drivesdk

QUITE OBVIOUSLY WE CAN EXPECT A SIMILAR COMMITMENT FROM THE SOLICITOR GENERAL

IN THE ABOVE CASE BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT ON 05 09 2023

THIS COULD BE THE ONLY REASON FOR SEEKING THE SERVICES OF THE SOLICTOR GENERAL BY THE PNB / GOI BEING THE RESPONDENTS IN THE INSTANT CASE TO PROCEED FURTHER ON COHESIVE LINES

CERTAINLY A POSTIVE DEVELOPMENT CONSIDERING THE ABOVE FACTS.

In view of the foregoing, we are now at the threshold of success to hear the good news very soon....

"Success means we go to sleep at night knowing that our talents and abilities were used in a way that served others."

With the Divine blessings of Matha Kanaka Durga abode इन्द्रकीलाद्रि - विजयवाद Indrakeeladri- Vijayawada, let us hope to bring solace to the grief-stricken hearts of the bank retirees in general and the SUPER SENIORS IN PARTICULAR only in the sole interest of justice & fair play

WITH GREETINGS & REGARDS
