Matter was briefly heard .Govt / Bank wanted 8 weeks as it wanted to refer the issue to IBA which was opposed by our Advocates that our issue is SBI specific and nothing to do with IBA . SBI pension scheme is statutory and validity of amendments has to be examined by the court and no committee can decide or dictate. However ,court directed the Govt to hear the petitioners in third week of August 23 and submit the report to court subsequently, Court once again reiterated that final decision would be taken by the court after testing the views on constitutional validity .

This is for your information that when our Writ Petition taken up today Government Counsel sought 8 Weeks time to seek views of IBA.
We have argued that we are seeking enforcement of Statutory rights based on Supreme Court decisions and hence IBA views are not relevant.
We have highlighted the delay and urgency in the matter.
Consequently the court ordered;
(a) petitioners/Federation should be invited for hearing by the committee before submitting the report. 3 members of the Federation can be present and only one of them should present their case.
(b) case to come up on 6.10.2023.
Rest will be informed to you after securing today's order.

Now it is clear that SBI PENSION UPDATION has to be approved by IBA.
PENSION UPDATION FOR ALL PSBS AND SBI HAS TO BE THROUGH AGREEMENT BY IBA-UFBU .
It is also Certain that PERSON UPDATION FORMULA AS APPROVED BY IBA ONLY WILL COME INTO FORCE AND MOU FOR 100% DA WILL ALSO BE APPROVED ALONG WITH PENSION UPDATION AGREEMENT AFTER FINALISATION BY DFS.
EVEN 40-50 % BASIC DISPARITY HAS ALSO TO BE ADDRESSED BY IBA ONLY.
