PENSION REVISION - RBI PATTERN - CALENDER OF EVENTS

My Dear Friends,

During the 11th. BPS, DA was merged into the basic at 6352 points which worked out @1.63 load factor over & above the previous one as stated below:

To arrive at the revised Basic Pension as per RBI formula moving from stage to stage or from one bipartite to the other the multplying factors with 10% notional increase in basic pension are:

 5th BPS-     19.90       

6th BPS-        9.43

 7TH BPS-      5.83

 8TH BPS -      3.91

 9TH BPS-       2.85

 10TH BPS-     1.63

NOW, LET US TAKE AN EXAMPLE FOR A BASIC PENSION OF ₹75OO, IN THE 7TH BPS THE REVISED BASIC PAY WOULD BE AS UNDER

( ASSUMING THE PRESENT UNIFORM DA - CURRENT RATE APROX. @ 41.16% IS WORKED OUT )

+DR@41.16%       ₹17997

Where as in 2019 When Pension updation was restored for RBI retirees the DA was merged into basic at 4440 points in terms 9th. BPS.

Thus the difference of load factor over and above 4440 points (as in 9th. BPS ) and 6352 points (as in 10th. BPS) comes to 1.63 as per the above table

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE EXPECT FOR THE PSB RETIREES TOO FROM THE IBA/Govt./ DFS/MOF ( As per the stage-wise application of load/ multiplying factors with 100% DA nuetralization are furnished in the above table)

Seemingly IBA has already submitted its report to the Supreme Court as confirmed by the Finance Minister (State) himself on the floor of the House on13 02 2023 while replying to a question raised by Dr. Ravikumar, Hon'ble MP from Villupuram Tamulnadu who happend to be our ex. colleague in Syndicate Bank. In terms of the recent notification issued by the Govt. /DFS/MOF now the RBI retirees pension is also revised for the 2nd time with the diffrrence of 1.63 load factor to bring parity in the revised Basic Pension with merger of DA at 6352 points as envisaged in the latest concluded 11th. BPS as stated above.

Simultaneousely vide its notification dated 14 06 2023 GOI/DFS/MOF has already committed to submit its report as per direcctions of the Delhi High Court by 31 07 2023.

AIBPARC,  under the leadership of  Com. Acharya a delegation was lead to our Hon'ble FM Smt. Nirmala Sitharamanji in the presence of the concerned officialals from DFS/MOF.

Upon lending a patient hearing to AIBPARC leaderhip delegation, our Hon'ble FM who in turn had given clear directions on the spot to the concerned  DFS/MOF authorities present there, to ensure positive compliance on the part of IBA expedetiously.

Accordingly as already confirmed by the State Minister of Finance on the floor of the house while replying a question in the Parliament on             13 02 2023 itself, by now IBA must have alredy complied with the Supreme Court's direction dated       20 01 2022 to submit its report in the Motion Hearing case of Late MC Singla & Ors which is now posted to  18 07 2023.

Considering the above facts followed by the above fast turn of events, it is hoped that of late, things are moving in proper directon towsrds logical conclusion on a happy note - although belated.

I once again reiterate that what all the benifits we secured so far nave been out of legal intervention only.
