Of late,  One of the major  constituents of UFBU has been  vehemently trying to create confusion in the minds of the retirees as to the paucity of funds to meet the cost of updation.   

The complacency on the part of the UFBU has become handy to the IBA not to disclose the details of bank-wise fund position of the pension corpus. 

The leadership lacks guts to question the veracity of the cost of pension updation alone as exorbitantly “priced”  at Rs.95,000/- crores by IBA unilaterally !

A careless assumption on the part of IBA who has neither legal sanctity nor accountability whatsoever.   This is only to mislead the Government and the banking public only to expose the retirees in bad light

The irony pat of it is - The cost of pension updation  and  enhancement of family pension put together –  the aggregate cost  is estimated at Rs.52,041 croes as against the IBA’s wild projection of Rs.95,000/- crores for updation alone !!!

In this connection, I annex here the observations made by  some of our Learned friends- viz: Sri R Gunasekharan garu,  Sri J N Shukla garu, Sri J Somasekara garu, and  Sri N Sankara Subramanian garu.

 The clarifications/observations of our above learned comrades will certainly bring clarity in the minds of our fraternity.

I am immensely thankful  for the pains taken by our  above learned comrades to bring clarity in the minds of our colleagues.
