Citizens’ forum to push for metro rail extension

Efforts to get the Swargate-Pimpri metro corridor extended to Nigdi are about to be stepped up. The Pimpri Chinchwad Citizen Forum (PCCF) will be intensifying its public awareness drive on an online petition demanding the extension in the first phase of the project. This decision was reached after Maha-Metro officials appeared receptive to the idea at a recent public event. PCCF founder Amol Deshpande said, "We told our 600-700 members to spread the message among their friends through WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms."
