New Zealand First has a policy to increase RNZ's funding and expand it into television by amalgamating it with TVNZ1 and turning that channel into a public service television channel. I would love to see a guarantee from Winston Peters that whichever way he goes with his decision over who becomes government, that he insists that RNZ gets the decent funding boost that it deserves. He wants sporting events to be available free to air in New Zealand, surely he could ask for this as well. Please see link below for blog piece.
