Dear Supporters,
I gave an interview this week with Russian State Sponsored Media discussing Halyna's Law. The special was broadcast to 144.1 million people throughout their country, and there are numerous discussions now that they will adopt Halyna's Law in their nation.
Other countries have reached out to me as well, wanting to know more about this law. Our call for Halyna’s Law has transitioned from a national issue, into a worldwide one. There should be no real guns and live ammunition on any production set, period. Whether it’s in our own country, or somewhere abroad. Halyna Hutchin's life will continue to live on as this law becomes adopted throughout the world.
It is my personal mission to make sure that Halyna's Law spreads first to every state in our nation, followed by every country in this world. We need to make sure that we never lose another human life while creating art and fiction. We should have learned our lesson in 1993 with Brandon Lee. It seems as though the media's obsession with guns portrayed in film and television leads to violence not only outside of the cinema, but while creating it as well.
And on a final note, production crew members deserve humane working conditions, along with the simple request that real bullets don’t fly over heads as they do their jobs. The days of working 14-18 hour days with a horrible turnaround time need to end. Countless birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays have been missed because of these inhumane working conditions.
THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN. WE DEMAND CHANGE!
