Dear Supporters,

After working tirelessly for the past 3 months on my efforts getting individual states (New York, California, New Mexico) to propose legislation that will ban the use of real guns on film and television sets, I have reached a dead end.

The states of New York, California, and New Mexico are facing intense pressure from the Hollywood Studio's and have given into their demands and scratched proposed legislation that would have banned real guns from movie sets. They now want to just propose legislation that will only ban the use of live ammunition on film sets (which has been the norm and an unspoken rule in Hollywood for decades) rather than real guns.

Why the hell are real guns being used when creating fictional entertainment? Why didn't we learn our damn lesson with Brandon Lee's tragic death in the early 90's? How many more fucking people need to die before America's obsession with guns and violence ends? 

I have lived and traveled throughout the world and people in different countries always ask me "why are Americans so obsessed with guns and violence?"

I'll tell you why. It's because of Hollywood's obsession with guns and violence depicted on film and television shows, which causes people to go out into their communities and commit acts of violence by mimicking what they saw in a film or on television. 

Enough is enough. We need to change the culture of violence in our nation, and that begins with changing Hollywood's obsession with guns and violence.  I've decided to give up on trying to get individual states to propose legislation, and will now be going the federal route.

I plan on getting a law proposed on the federal level that will ban the use of real guns and live ammunition on film and television sets nationwide. House Speaker Chuck Schumer of New York has already been contacted, and I am awaiting his response for a meeting.  I shall keep you all updated on efforts moving forward to get this law passed federally.

Please continue doing your part and spread the word by contacting your local representatives in congress and demand that they propose federal legislation that will ban the use of real guns and live ammunition on film and television sets.
