Hold UT Austin Dean of Students Accountable for Election Fraud & Corruption

Hold UT Austin Dean of Students Accountable for Election Fraud & Corruption
The Issue
CALLING FOR A NEW ELECTION, WITHOUT FRAUD AND CORRUPTION
On Monday, March 10th, the UT Austin Dean of Students unilaterally appointed Hudson Thomas & Thierry Chu as student body president/vice president. Critically, the dean made this decision after the Thomas/Chu campaign was disqualified for campaign finance fraud.
Chief Justice of the UT Austin Student Government Supreme Court, Isaiah Mosley wrote in his opinion: "There was no conceivable situation where the Dean of Students involvement in this matter would be required, other than if the accused personally reached out to the Office of the Dean of Students to subvert the authority granted to the ESB," ... "This action undermines the ESB's duty to adjudicate complaints in a neutral manner and denies the petitioner a fair and impartial review."
By granting Thomas and Chu unprecedented favoritism, the UT administration failed to ensure free and fair elections for its 2025 student government race. Accountability and due process at UT are now dead, even prompting some student government officials to resign or leave student government in protest.
Please sign this petition to tell the Dean of Students, Katie McGee, that UT students demand our voice be heard in how we run our campus. We call for a new election, void of fraud and corruption. Make yourself heard now when it matters most!
