While serving as German Federal Chancellor from 2005 to 2021, Mrs Merkel had ample access to public and private information regarding Russia and Putin personally, yet allowed an overtly fascist regime in Russia to grow and consolidate. 
And now, not only is Mrs. Merkel unrepentant about her actions, but she is loudly asserting her rightness. The rightness that led the world to a full-scale war!

The Chechen war, Putin's Munich speech, the 2008 attack on Georgia, the seizure of Crimea and the outbreak of war with Ukraine in 2014 - so many markers on the road of Russian fascism! 

And all the while Mrs Merkel has either said the right words or remained silent. 

Along with this, the actual fruits of her activities in relation to Putin's Russia: 
- The Nord Stream gas pipeline bypassing Ukraine was built;  
- Nord Stream 2 was built to reinforce the first pipeline;
- Germany's full-scale cooperation with Russia in terms of modern industrial technology;
- Georgia's rejection of NATO membership;
- Ukraine's rejection of NATO membership.

This is only a superficial list of Mrs Merkel's dealings with Russia. 

All this has allowed the Putin regime to grow stronger economically and militarily and to feel de facto impunity for its actions, leading to today's war in Europe and the genocide of the Ukrainian people. 

I am asking you to sign this petition so that we can get to the bottom of the true reasons behind the behaviour of former German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.

What was it? 
The politician's unprofessionalism?
 Personal interest? 
Something else? 

Answers to these questions will allow new politicians to be aware of their personal responsibility in such situations and encourage politicians of the future to nip fascism in the bud in any country of the world.
 

After all, in the 21st century, it is high time to realise that we all live on one planet and the consequences of cases leading to fascism in one country lead to common problems of the world community.
The world cannot shut itself off from the problems of other countries!
