Hold ELITENYC & Rachael Lange Accountable! Stand up against racism and homophobia!

The Issue

Elite Model Management is a modeling agency based in New York, Los Angeles, Miami & Toronto. Part of their mission statement stated, “At Elite Model Management we embrace diversity and representation, social change, and inclusiveness - and for our roster of talent to reflect those core values.” Recently, it came to light that one of their models, Rachael Lange, has made over 400+ racist, homophobic, transphobic, fat-phobic statements as well as disturbing statements about black children on twitter (which have now been deleted). Statements which do not reflect Elite’s core values. However, despite the very public nature in which the tweets were discovered Lange is still signed with Elite and is still receiving work through them months later.

Elite is not holding themselves or their models to their mission statement and, as someone who represents thousands of models in the US and in Canada, several of whom belong or identify with populations that have been negatively impacted by statements made by Lange, it’s unacceptable for them to dismiss/ignore the concerning statements made by her. They need to be held accountable and held to their mission statement. As does, Lange, who has received no backlash from her statements and still refuses to hold herself accountable as well.

It’s not ok for agencies like Elite and public figures, models, actors, etc to get away with statements/actions that cause harm to vulnerable and minority populations and still retain their positions or platforms. Please sign the petition now. Don’t let them get away with it.
