Dear Supporters,
We want to sincerely thank each of you for your continued support and for signing this petition. With 66 signatures so far, your voices are helping us shine a light on the unacceptable conditions we’ve endured in our home.
Since launching this petition, several troubling developments have occurred:
Attempt to Lock Us Out of Our Home: Despite us continuing to pay our BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing), Balfour Beatty attempted to lock us out of our home while we are displaced due to extensive mold damage. This mold damage has rendered our home completely uninhabitable, yet they are treating us as though we are not fulfilling our financial obligations.
Acknowledgment of Mold Assessor’s Findings: After months of challenges, Balfour Beatty has finally acknowledged the findings of our licensed mold assessor. However, their actions show little progress in addressing the severity of the issue.
Use of Unlicensed Contractors: Instead of hiring licensed professionals for proper mold remediation, Balfour Beatty continues to rely on unlicensed contractors, further jeopardizing the safety and health of families. This unacceptable practice puts residents at risk and demonstrates a disregard for proper safety standards.
We remain committed to holding Balfour Beatty accountable. Your signatures and support are making a difference in amplifying this issue. Please continue to share this petition widely and encourage others to stand with us. Together, we can demand the change and accountability that military families deserve.
Thank you again for standing with us. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Telfer
