Hold an FPL hearing before the Public Service Commission

The Issue

Okay, Florida citizens. It's time to stop complaining and start fighting. It's time to let the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) know:

  • That we smell the stench coming from the merger between Gulf Power and Florida Power & Light (FPL)
  • That we know the origins of utility bills that have doubled or tripled to be NextEra Energy Inc., an $18 billion company (and the largest electric utility holding company) that has zero concern for Floridians' welfare or well-being
  • That we refuse to accept utility bills that force us to choose between keeping our lights on, keeping a roof over our heads, and keeping our families fed
  • That we expect Florida politicians to stop politicking and do what they were put there to do--protect the people of Florida--by demanding a full-fledged hearing on FPL utility rates before the Florida Public Service Commission. If they can't do this, they need to step aside.

Levin Papantonio Rafferty is helping to lead a campaign to get the Florida Public Service Commission to reconsider its approval of the utility rate, or at the very least hold public hearings on the issue.

We're in trouble, Florida, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel--and it's not FPL. Sign our petition now and demand an audit of FPL!
