We call on the UK Government and Parliament to hold a Parliamentary debate on the expanding use of software and systems provided by Palantir Technologies Inc. across UK defence, security, law enforcement and public services - guaranteeing full transparency and public accountability.

Despite the company’s deep embedding in government systems, there has been no comprehensive scrutiny of costs, data governance, ethical risks or national sovereignty.

Internationally, Palantir has been linked to controversial immigration enforcement in the US, criticised for its role in military operations in Gaza, and rejected by authorities in Switzerland over data and dependency concerns.

There have been ongoing debates in the UK, France and elsewhere about the ethical, political and strategic implications of embedding a company with deep structural ties to the U.S. military and intelligence apparatus into crucial UK and European military and civilian digital infrastructure.

We're calling on Parliament to debate:

   • the full extent and terms of all government contracts with Palantir,
   • the ethical, human rights and civil liberties implications,
   • the strategic and digital sovereignty implications,
   • how NHS and other public-service data is governed and protected,
   • how the choice of Palantir’s technology was made and whether other options have been considered,
   • and whether adequate transparency and oversight mechanisms exist.

This debate should be informed by independent expert evidence and ensure that democratic scrutiny, human rights and public trust are upheld.
