The Issue

As an alumna of Resurrection High School and the parent of a current student, I am deeply concerned about the ongoing turnover of teachers, administrative instability, and the perceived decline in the overall educational experience at our school. Many parents, students, alumni, and supporters of Resurrection share these concerns and are increasingly worried about what these changes mean for the future of our children and the long-term success of the school community.

For generations, Resurrection High School has served as a cornerstone of faith, education, leadership, and empowerment for young women. Its reputation was built upon strong academic standards, dedicated faculty, meaningful student relationships, and a supportive community environment. Unfortunately, the continued loss of teachers and staff, combined with limited communication surrounding these departures, has created uncertainty, frustration, and concern among families and alumni alike.

Teachers are fundamental to the academic and emotional development of students. Frequent turnover disrupts continuity in education, impacts student morale, and weakens the sense of stability that is essential for a thriving learning environment. Equally troubling is the ongoing lack of transparency and communication regarding these staffing changes, leadership decisions, and the school’s long-term vision.

Parents and stakeholders deserve honest, proactive communication from the administration and Board regarding matters that directly affect our children’s education and school experience. Silence and limited communication have led to confusion, speculation, and a growing erosion of trust within the Resurrection community.

Therefore, we, the undersigned parents, alumni, students, and community stakeholders, respectfully request that Resurrection High School hold an open meeting with the appropriate leadership and decision-makers, including members of the School Board, the President, administration, and other relevant stakeholders. This meeting should provide an opportunity for transparent dialogue, open communication, and collaborative discussion regarding:

• Teacher and staff turnover
• Administrative and leadership changes
• The school’s vision and long-term plan
• Academic quality and student support
• Strategies to improve communication, transparency, and community trust

Our goal is not division, but collaboration. We believe that through honesty, accountability, and open communication, Resurrection High School can strengthen its foundation, rebuild trust within the community, and continue providing the exceptional educational experience that students deserve.

We ask fellow parents, alumni, students, and supporters to join us in signing this petition to encourage meaningful dialogue and positive change for the future of Resurrection High School. Together, our voices can help ensure a stronger, more transparent, and more successful future for the entire Resurrection community.
