change is taking place in our fair city because of all of you.  THANK YOU!

this is just the beginning.  we want to influence more than just the north end but this is a hugely positive start.

an RFP has been sent out which beautifully encapsulates the changes that residents and lovers of newport have been clamoring for.

the RFP calls for:

A detailed North End Urban Plan, including the Newport Pell Bridge ramp system land area, to be used for planning purposes to assist the Newport City Council in developing appropriate land use regulations for the area.  Pertinent to this request is that such a plan:

-       Reflect Newport’s impressive history

-       Strives to impress its cultural relevance in the region

-       Connects the North end with downtown Newport, healing their separation.

-       Includes critical public participation, essential to the process, including property owners, businesses, residents, local developers and interested parties.
