Dear Supporter A Hillingdon resident got a call back today (29th March) . I think that it is likely that she spoke to Ed Davis who is based in the Planning Specialist department. When I rang to obtain his job title last week, his colleague who I spoke to said that he is a noise nuisance specialist but was then quick to add that he is trained in other areas. It is interesting to note that last week Ed said that FM Conway is compliant with their enforcement notice but today he was talking about collecting samples for legal reasons. This is what the Hillingdon resident told me. "I rang the ASBO number 08006940240 and reported it. The girl I spoke to was quite evasive and I had to press the point about that I thought the noise reporting Team dealt with this and were they going to be informed in time to do anything today, she eventually said she was going to e-mail the officer responsible for the appropriate team. About half hour later a man, whose name I didn’t get, rang me back. By which time the smell had dissipated, he was going to try to find an officer to come to my location within the hour but as it was not so bad as earlier he decided against it. He is sending me a letter with all his details and was talking evidence admissible for Law. If we get any more black tar on our cars he wants a sample and has asked that we do not wash it off until he obtains samples."
