Dear Supporter As I opened my front door this morning, the tar odour was extreme. Instinctively, my youngest daughter covered her mouth and nose with her hand. I popped into Tesco after doing the school run and could smell the odour across the car park. I believe from the facial expressions of a manager returning trolleys to the store, from the car park and another customer that they could smell the foul odour too. I didn't attend the Southall Green Ward forum last night. FM Conway was an agenda item and I understand from a resident that Hillingdon Council are considering enforcement action but precisely what form this will take, is not yet public knowledge. Council officers know that FM Conway are breaching their operating permit, so it is time that they acted to protect the environment and public health. Hillingdon Council has not responded to my request for a copy of the independent environmental consultant's report and the deadline for the response was 19th March. If you live in Hillingdon, please ask your local councillors, when and how the council will respond to the petition because IRATE are still waiting. Let's keep the pressure on for decisive action!
