Tell Alderman Falberg to Recuse Himself from MYA Decisions

Tell Alderman Falberg to Recuse Himself from MYA Decisions
The Issue
Midwest Young Artists Conservatory's plan to build an entertainment venue in the midst of Fort Sheridan will significantly impact historic Fort Sheridan and Highwood, with tremendous impacts to local homes, Highwood tax revenue, traffic and more.
As the Highwood city council considers the MYA's proposal and its pro's and con's, it should carefully review all elements, without judgement or bias.
Given Alderman Eric Falberg of the Highwood city council is a member of MYA's board and is supporting the entertainment venue plan, he should recuse himself from all decisions related to this project, including the final city council vote on the zoning change that would be required to move forward. Furthermore, the fact that the MYA may be selling liquor is in direct conflict with Eric Falberg's ownership of 28 Mile.
Residents of Highwood and Fort Sheridan respect and appreciate the public service of Alderman Falberg and other city officials, and as such, expect them to conduct themselves honestly, without any business or non-profit entanglements.
You can learn more about the MYA's plan when it comes in front of Highwood's Zoning and Planning Commission on Aug. 28. We are not collecting donations for this effort.
