Stop killing stray dogs in Kerala

This petition had 1,811 supporters

Stray dogs are being mercilessly hunted in many parts of Kerala citing that they attack human beings without any cause or reason. The reason also given is that stray dog population is on a rise and hence creating issues for public at large.

Recently, the youth wing of a political party undertook its mission as to "kill" stray dogs. The killed dogs were paraded in public as protest against a political public figure of another party.

The public are being largely misinformed about such attacks as there is no data to back the number of attacks. The  Government has not taken the initiative to study the reason for such attacks. Moreover, the rise in number of dogs has to also be studied, as reasons could vary.

Dogs are bearing the brunt of political vendetta.
