Since the last update: •Due to its members other commitments the committee has not met (it next meets on 27 September); matters have nevertheless continued to be discussed/progressed. •Your four HBC Councillors still decline to meet with TRACKS, latest ‘reason’ given being this would serve no purpose “ ... until more information is made available”. On 20 July TRACKS pointed out that, as all information required of them pertains to events long passed, no such ‘reason’ exists. TRACK again asked that the information be supplied, also by 5 August – no HBC Councillor has responded. •TRACKS met Cllr Chris Wilkins (APC). TRACKS said its members’ perceptions were that (i) HBC is prematurely concluding the solution to a budget problem equates with a draconian alteration of Radlett (ii) APC is more disposed to ‘sweetening the (HBC) pill’ than rejecting it. Cllr Wilkins reminded that APC’s letter to HBC was recognised by TRACKS as having, broadly, reflected its aims. It was readily agreed APC and TRACKS should/will collaborate more closely. •Members were invited to offer one of four responses (yes, adequate, inadequate, no) to the statement: “TRACKS represents my opinion accurately and in appropriate manner to other parties”. 15 replies have been received – 13 ‘yesses’, 1 ‘adequate’, 1 ‘no’.
