I'm Calling upon my fellow South Carolinians' stand with me in solidarity; and demand that Freddie Pough Director of South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, Step down! Under his leadership conditions have not improved, and are exponentially growing worse daily! The children of South Carolina are suffering from his inability to uphold the duties required by his position. It's time for his tyrannical reign of reckless incompetency to be over. Join me South Carolina. The Sc Senate subcommittee questioned Mr. Pough in reference to the damning Sc-LAC report. During questioning Senator Harpootlian asked if Pough knew the statues that bind his position of office and is required by law. The statues that apply to him, and every employee working under him at every SCDJJ facility. Mr.Pough didn't know a single statue under the SC-Juvenile Code. That alone should serve as justification for his removal. It gets worse a 16 year girl detained in a SCDJJ facility attempted sucide to expose the abuse the juveniles are enduring inside the SCDJJ facility. Mr. Pough admitted he knew about it. He also admitted he did not report the incident nor did he take any action to resolve the issue. Mr. Pough broke the law, and committed a crime by not reporting the incident to Sled or Dss. Yet he refused to resign, and Govenor McMasters continues to give full support to Mr.Pough and refuses to remove him from office. This is not acceptable South Carolina! We are the people! Stand up for the Children of SC-DJJ, and demand that Freddie Pough be relieved of his duties either by resignation or termination.
