The Issue

My name is Emma Dalmayne, I am an autistic mother, activist, author and campaigner. I am also CEO of Autistic Inclusive Meets, an Autistic led organisation Www.autisticinclusivemeets.org based in Woolwich SE London.

I would like your help to raise funds and bring attention to the case of Sean Stephenson, a vulnerable Autistic teen from SE London. When I was sent the details of his case my heart broke for him and his family, its every family's worst nightmare.

Sean is currently in a Japanese prison after being found with Meth in a locked suitcase. Sean has said he did not know what was in the case, but was  threatened with having his legs broken and harm to his family if he didnt take it with him on a flight to Japan.

He has no previous arrests, he's not ever been in trouble before, what has happened to him is a global case of county lines, and he is paying the price.

Sean has complex needs, he is developmentally delayed and has difficulty retaining information and recalling instruction. He is eighteen years old and has limited understanding, he is naive and thought he had made new friends until they turned of him.

We are taking this petition to the Japanese Embassy and the Foreign Office to ask that Sean's needs be taken into account.

His family are worried sick, Sean has anxiety and has been suicidal in recent years. He also has Neurofibromatosis Type 1 which cause him to be fatigued, Asthma and a Soft Systostolic Heart Murmur.

A segment of the above:

'His sister Ami Lee says Sean “acted under pressure” from gang members who threatened to break his legs and harm his family.

“I have not eaten. I have not slept. I’m a nervous wreck,” 33-year-old Ms Lee told MyLondon, with just over a week until Sean faces a Tokyo judge. “I am scared we are gonna get a call to say ‘Your brother has taken his own life’.

That is my biggest fear when he’s innocent. I just want to get him home.”

Ms Lee says Sean told her through his lawyer that he was followed to Heathrow Airport and threatened with violence if he didn’t board the flight.

She also claims he was threatened with a broken Smirnoff Ice bottle around two weeks before his arrest. Police were reportedly called to the June 10 incident, though Sean didn’t press charges.'

I've been told by Sean's sister Ami that the British police have been no help, Sean was groomed here in England, and taken to Heathrow by a gang member who used Sean's  card to pay for Sean's ticket, the police have not requested the cctv footage from Heathrow to show Sean being coerced. If they requested this, the case for defense could be strengthened, Sean had never flown alone before.

There is currently a go fund me here to raise money to pay his solicitor, please add whatever you can afford, every pound helps, the money you would donate to the petition would be better spent here as the petition will do well regardless:

Please share widley, let's get Sean home!
