Help Vinny Paz get elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame

The Issue

If you were a fan of boxing in the 1980's and 1990's, you may remember him as Vinny Pazienza. If you had the opportunity to watch him compete, you certainly remember him as "The Pazmanian Devil" because of his relentless offensive style. Today, he's Vinny Paz and he is eligible for election to the International Boxing Hall of Fame. By signing this petition, you can tell the outstanding writers, journalists of the Boxing Writers Association of America that Vinny Paz should be included in the class of 2024.

More about Vinny's Career:
Vinny finished his career with 60 fights, 50 wins and 30 of those wins coming by knockout.  Fighting from 1983 until securing his 50th win in 2004, Vinny fought some of the greatest fights, and fighters, from that generation. Included on that list is winning his first world title from Greg Haugen, which began a great trilogy between the two. He fought Roger Mayweather, Hector Camacho, Lloyd Honeyghan, beat the legendary Roberto Duran twice, Roy Jones Jr, Dana Rosenblatt, and Herol Graham among many others. In total, Vinny won 5 world titles throughout his career.

Greatest Comeback Story in Sports?
Even with a fantastic record and multiple world championships in several weight classes, Vinny's biggest victory was overcoming astronomical odds to resume his career after a near fatal car accident in November of 1991. Vinny broke two vertebrae in his neck and had to have a halo on his head for stability for several months. After working to come back for almost all of 1992, Vinny returned to the ring in December and won his return bout. He would then reel off 8 straight wins from 1993-1995. His story of overcoming the odds was immortalized on the silver screen in 2016 with the release of the movie "Bleed for This" staring Miles Teller.
