First, I want to start by asking of how many people here have seen this memorial a few miles north down Yulle Road? In 2019 my Dad, who was only 48, had lost control of his car on the dirt road, rolled his car into the field where this memorial is located, and he did not make it. Because of the extent of his injuries, there was no way to have a traditional funeral for him, so almost 4 years ago now, I myself, built this memorial for him, many many hours of energy and effort, to make this into somewhere that my family, anyone who knew my dad, and of course myself, could come to sit and visit. Over the years I have kept up the maintenance on and around the memorial, and I have had many people stop and tell me how wonderful and beautiful it is, and that they loved it. And that it is something to be proud of. EXCEPT for ONE particular person, that lives a little further down yulle from where this memorial is, this person over the course of the last 4 years has stopped any time she could while I was there, to tell me how ridiculous and ugly it is to put on the side of the road for someone who isn't even here, and every time told me that she will complain to the county about it being there... that was over the course of the last 4 years, the county road workers have stopped and told me that they would have no problem working around it if ever needed, BUT a few weeks ago, this person stopped again while I was out there cleaning up around the memorial, and she told me that she was so sick of seeing it there that she wasn't going to stop complaining to the county until they do something about it... WELL, a little over a week ago, there was a notice taped over the cross by adams county in a very disrespectful manner, telling me that I had to remove the memorial completely by the 21st of September.
HERE IS WHERE I NEED YALLS HELP
I would like to see if I can get the community behind me, see how many people would be willing to show their support so that I could hopefully keep my memorial where it has been for the last 4 years and has not bothered anyone, even the county. His family and friends thank you for your support!
