Councillor Anna Wright and Councillor Camron Aref-Adib, have launched a petition to designate The Star pub on Chester Road as an Asset of Community Value.

 Asset of Community Value status will help protect this much-loved local pub from any sale that might result in proposals to redevelop the site for alternative use.

The Star deserves our support. As the only pub serving the Highgate Newtown area it’s been a place to meet and talk, hosting film nights, games nights, community meetings and many family and community gatherings and events.  We need to show how much we value our local community pub and help give it all the protection we can.
