Help us make New Hampshire the 13th state to ban single-use plastic bags!

Help us make New Hampshire the 13th state to ban single-use plastic bags!
The Issue
I am a teacher at a local Manchester elementary school with a couple of students who want to make a positive impact on our planet by creating a petition to ban single-use plastic bags.
Students' Stance: A little while ago I saw a video while scrolling on YouTube Shorts about how killing the planet will eventually kill us all, and it made me more aware of the problems our planet is facing. The Earth is going through a climate crisis driven largely by pollution, and these plastic bags are significant contributors to this environmental disaster. The 5 trillion plastic bags used yearly take hundreds of years to decompose, filling up our landfills, littering our lush and green landscapes, and endangering our wildlife. Millions of people are unaware of this, and it's killing our fragile world piece by piece.
We have little time left to change this, and it's time to take action now.
A ban on single-use plastic bags would not only enhance the natural beauty of New Hampshire but also set a standard for environmental consciousness that benefits all its residents, especially the children who will inherit the Earth in future generations to come.
Teacher Stance: We urge the New Hampshire state government to take action now. Enacting a ban on single-use plastic bags would be a genuine commitment to combating climate change and protecting the environment for future generations.
Please sign and share this petition to support a cleaner, more sustainable future for the citizens of New Hampshire and show my students that their voices count.
