Everyone thinks I’m so strong fighting for my brother the way I am and I like to agree with that but what you see online isn’t the same thing going on off the screen. It’s easy to be strong online, keeping myself so busy that I don’t think of the reality of what really happened, that he is just not at home and will come home soon or that I haven’t even grieved over my brother yet because I have my heart and soul in his justice but when facing the reality of seeing his picture on a sign stuck in the ground at his memorial it all slaps me in the face. He’s gone.. he’s never coming back and someone TOOK him from us. And that person is not having to suffer from his actions or consequences. The DA is giving him the ok that what he did was fine and that you can get away with taking another persons life whenever YOU decide it’s their time to go. This is NOT justice and is NOT how it is suppose to work! Everyone always has to suffer the consequences of their actions and this monster should be no different. Help us in the fight to change this for not only my brother but for every other injustice that the thousands of other families are fighting against.
