Stop HARD (Hit-and-Run Drivers)
Jan 23, 2020

Thank you for supporting our effort to change California's lenient hit-and-run laws. We need your help getting more signatures and support so that we can make California a safer place to walk, ride and play!  If you believe in our mission, please share and ask friends, families and co-workers to sign our petition.  PLEASE NOTE:  No donation to Change.org is requested and any donations to the Change.org website will not benefit our organization.

As you know, hit-and-run deaths in the U.S. are on the rise and sadly, California is leading the way.  Most people who hit-and-run have something to hide.  Convicted hit-and-run driver Dexter Glover Jr., avoided vehicular manslaughter charges and possible enhancements to felony hit-and-run charges most likely because he was able to delay being arrested long enough to avoid DUI testing.  Consequently, we will never know if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he hit and killed Jamari and Glover avoided more serious consequences.

A few months ago Glover was arrested again, this time for DUI over twice the limit, excessive speed & driving without a license - strongly confirming suspicions that he was DUI when he hit and killed Jamari. His probation was also recently violated for manufacturing and selling drugs.  Although he's finally going to prison, his presence on the road...behind the wheel of a car...has presented a great danger to others in the 2 1/2 years since Jamari's death.

It's time for action!  California's lenient laws may give drivers like Glover an incentive to flee the scene of a crash.  It's time for change!
