Help stop the conifer trees on Saxon Way, Bar Hill, from being cut down

The Issue

Members of the Bar Hill Parish Council are trying to get the conifers at the skate park on Saxon Way cut down to ground level. Actioning this plan will can result in numerous issues:

The industrial units will be exposed if the trees are removed. These are an eyesore, which could result in decreased property value of houses in the vicinity.

The loss of trees will destroy the natural habitat of birds and animals. The conifer trees are used by numerous species during the nesting season.

Evidence has proven that trees help in areas prone to flooding. Saxon Way has minimal drainage and is prone to flooding, which, could be exacerbated by removing the trees.

The conifers provide sound dampening from the busy road in addition to the benefits trees have with reducing air pollution.

The Bar Hill community has seen the loss of many trees. The Parish Council have the option to preserve these trees and maintain them.

Help keep Bar Hill green!
