Urgently calling all residents of Wing and Burcott.  

Please sign this petition to show your support for the Parish Council's plan for a community green space on the land between Chesterfield Crescent and Burcott.

This petition is the best way we can make residents’ representation to Councillor John Chilver, who we understand to be influential on Buckinghamshire Council’s Property Board. This board will determine the fate of what is a highly contaminated plot of land (More information in the May edition of WOIW).  

Should Bucks Council sell the land for housing development it would cause enormous disturbance, releasing buried contaminants into the environment. This would also destroy what has become a valued wildlife corridor between two designated green spaces, which are protected by our neighbourhood plan.

This is a very important issue for Wing and Burcott.  We need Buckinghamshire Council to understand that our village fully supports the Parish Council's green space plan as an alternative to development on this site.

The village has already exceeded its allocation of housing and we need to lay down a marker so that Wing and Burcott do not become a target for mass housing estates like Haddenham, Bierton and Aston Clinton, bearing in mind all the land assets Bucks Council holds around our lovely villages.
