Ms. Arnethia White was evicted last week from her house in the 900 block of Hagan Avenue in Bayou St. John and we are reaching out to galvanize community support in hopes of saving her home. Details about why she was evicted have not been 100% confirmed, but what we can tell you is that Ms. Arnethia is the heart and soul of this community and that her departure would leave a profound void. 

Ms. Arnethia has lived on Hagan Avenue for decades, bringing comfort and joy to everyone lucky enough to pass by her door and hear her unmistakable voice say, "Hey, my babies!" She possesses a kindness that is all too rare these days and something worth fighting for.
