Help Save the Students from Toxic Culture, and Abusive Education System

Help Save the Students from Toxic Culture, and Abusive Education System
The issue
PLEASE CHECK UPDATES FOR UP TO DATE INFORMATION
There are serious issues of various forms of child abuse currently occurring in a number of schools nationwide, that it would appear are not being addressed by either the schools or the department.
These children may appear to have no known issues but then there are also a number of children within the education system that have special needs, such as physical, and neuro divergent challenges. These children face significant hardships in their day-to-day life and these can often be exacerbated when they attend school.
The forms of abuse they are receiving include, but are not limited to; violation of rights, physical and psychological abuse (bullying), sexual abuse/grooming of children, discrimination/racism including cultural and religious faith, failure to lodge mandatory reports and inconsistencies with application of policies within a school.
We acknowledge that this is not happening to all students but we do know that it is happening to a significant number, and those that it is not happening to know someone that it is happening to that they care about.
The perpetrators of this abuse range from educators, school administrators, as well as peers. These incidents are being covered up and dismissed by the very people that are responsible for the duty of care and protection of those being victimised.
We acknowledge that there are good educators that are helping students and are remaining in their roles. However there also schools losing good educators that want the best for the children, and are bullied if they defend a student being victimised or moved on for not complying with the cover up culture.
These children are waiting all day until they are at home to use the toilet as they have previously been locked out or exposed with removal of doors, failing to attend school due to the fear of reprisal through physical abuse or ongoing victimisation, they are being encouraged to leave the school and lose their right to an education, and worst of all they regularly discussing ending their lives to escape the pain and emotional damage they have received at the hands of the school and its environment.
Medical Practitioners are also wanting there to be a system created for those children presenting with Mental Health Conditions so they can track the schools they are coming from, giving the patients Anonymity and adequately treat their patients Mental Health needs and identify if there is a concerning percentage in specific schools that needs to be addressed and direct them on to the correct departments.
The Toxic Culture needs to be addressed and the schools need to have the right personnel employed that will help Children feel safe and flourish, rather than permit them to be marginalised and abused.
We are requesting the Government conduct an Independent Inquiry or Royal Commission into Schools, Education Complaints Units, and the Education System.
By signing this you are agreeing to what we are proposing above.
Please read comments and updates for more accounts and perspectives on the issue at hand.
Please be aware this petition is not intended to target educators, as there are advocates and supporters for the children within the system.
The aim of this petition is to raise awareness of the issues, protect the rights of children, guardians and supporters who need assistance.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
