Firstly, I want to thank everybody for their strength for coming forward and talking about their experiences.

I would like to let you all know that there are people questioning the validity of the petition, one even calling it propaganda. The real questions that should be asked is why they are questioning it, and why children & parents are being silenced from reporting child abuse despite it being a mandatory requirement. Why are government departments not following their own policies of reporting abuse, and instead are silencing those who are trying to report it.

A big thank you to everybody putting this on their post – the truth needs to be told!

I know that this is painful, but it is appreciated, and know that your voice is not silent.

I am listening.

People are asking the question who am I, why am I doing this and why do I care?

I am a parent, a parent who has gone to every single department to report child abuse in the school my child was attending, (should still be attending, who was forced to leave) and been turned away.

My child has taken it upon themself to also report the abuse, unfortunately they too have been silenced for doing what is mandatory. I’ve been told if I continue to speak and expose what has happened, there will be serious ramifications.

I cannot continue to live like this especially when children are suffering. My child has suffered trauma and depression from the neglect and abuse they received in the school.

That is why the petition has been started – this is not just a local problem; it is across all sates of Australia!

We are punished for reporting abuse, ask yourself the question, ask the Government and the ministers the question – why?

Enough is enough!
