Help Save the African Lion from Extinction

Help Save the African Lion from Extinction
The Issue
After luring an iconic African lion named Cecil out of Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe with bait, a U.S. citizen shot and killed him for sport. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service must finalize the listing of the African lion as "threatened" under the Endangered Species Act, which would regulate the import of lion trophies and lion parts. This listing would result in far fewer lions being killed and imported by American hunters. African lion populations have plummeted by almost 50 percent over the last three decades, and American trophy hunters are largely to blame.
Please sign the petition to ask Dan Ashe Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services to finalize the listing of African lions under the Endangered Species Act.
