London, Ontario STR Bylaw Petition

London, Ontario STR Bylaw Petition
The Issue
This petition is for hosts, neighbours, small business owners supported by STRs and guests to express their concern for over-reaching and unreasonable regulations approved by London City Council.
This petition will help save 440 owners from losing supplemental income in the face of a coming recession and provide housing flexibility to refugees, new comers, vacationers, business travelers, new industry professionals and medical stays. Closing these spaces will result in direct losses to the London small business tourism sector to the tune of $92k per day and direct small business spending by the STR owners to other small businesses of $9k per day.
Help London hosts and the small businesses they support by signing your name and sharing with friends, family and your other small businesses to help keep this valuable and important part of Londons housing stock!
This petition specifically rejects the discriminatory portion of the regulations, the primary residence restriction and the request for data from the city on which their determination and bylaw creation occurred.
We are not however suggesting or rejecting that housing of all types should be inspected, safe and be subject to fair and legal regulation.
